The genealogical record of the House is maintained by the Imperial Chancellery, which holds the original parchments in its archive.
Principal Branches
- The Elder Branch — direct ancestors of the Sovereign
- The Cadet Branch of the West — collaterals of the second generation
- The Cadet Branch of the East — collaterals of the fourth generation
Method of the Record
Each generation is recorded with name, dates, marriage, and issue, supported by parish registers and notarial acts. Where a generation lacks documentary proof, the entry is marked per traditionem and excluded from succession.
