Standards of Reckoning
The Imperial calendar follows the Gregorian reform, with the addition of the regnal year — counted from the day of His Majesty’s coronation. Official correspondence bears both the civil date and the regnal date.
Midnight at the Imperial Palace marks the change of day for all decrees, edicts and acts of state. Beyond the Lands, foreign ambassadors are received according to local time, with the Imperial equivalent noted in the dispatch.
