Three anthems are recognised by the Imperial Chancellery — the Royal Hymn, performed in the presence of the Sovereign; the Legion March, on military occasions; and the Hymn of the Lands, for civic ceremonies.
The Royal Hymn
Performed at the entry of His Majesty and on the feast of the Crown.
A slow processional, scored for brass, strings and choir. Tempo grave; key of D major. Composed in the reign of the second Lauwiner sovereign.
The Legion March
Heard upon the parade of the Empire Legion.
A martial air in two strains, scored for full military band. The second strain quotes the Royal Hymn in counterpoint.
Hymn of the Lands
Sung at civic and provincial assemblies.
A simple strophic setting, intended for unaccompanied voices, drawn from a folk melody of the highland cantons.
Performance
Standing is required for the Royal Hymn and the Legion March; the Hymn of the Lands may be sung from any posture, by custom of the countryside.
